It is late afternoon. The warm air gently hits Preity’s face as the bus zooms past dusty lanes. With every bump that the bus hits, the metals clank together. Preity’s toes are constantly moving as they can’t wait to reach those familiar lanes.
As the bus halts at the drop off point, Preity jumps out with a big smile on her face. She has her Milton bottle hanging from her neck and a heavy school bag over her shoulders. However, she doesn’t feel the weight as she runs towards her home. She runs towards the black gate, clenching her fists around “The Best Student” award. At the gate, she looks up to find her favorite, her mother, standing smiling.
These are a few memories we all might have from our childhood. Our pillar during the times of happiness and despair has been our mother. This newsletter is dedicated to all the moms who celebrated all our small victories, never letting us feel that they were small. Now, go and give her a hug (or call her if you can).
